see / saw / seen / seeing

The verb "see" is used when observing something through the eyes, but it also means to visit, to have a relationship with another person, and to understand.

 

We went to see a play at this theater.

I have to see a dentist because I have a toothache.

You might see a lot of raccoons if you visit Minnesota. They're beautiful little animals.

They've been seeing each other for the last couple of months.

 

Seeing children laugh and smile brings joy to a person's heart.
He ought to see a doctor about his back.

Her daughter doesn't see the importance of eating healthy food--especially vegetables.
