Those glowing little dots in the sky called "stars" can be seen on cloudless evenings. We also use this word when describing famous celebrities and performers. The sentences below show how this word can be used as a verb, a noun, and as an adjective:

  • She is a movie star. (noun)
  • Michael Jordan was a star athlete when he played for the Chicago Bulls. (adjective)
