A rainy day makes me sad.

These are all adjectives. I haven’t included love and
hate because they aren’t adjectives, however, this is how they
are used:

I hate those rabbits because they ate my
tulips. (hate is a verb)

I love her. (love in this sentence is a verb)

I’m in love. (love in this sentence is a noun)
