Halloween

Halloween

Carving pumpkins into Jack-o-lanterns is a popular Halloween activity in the U.S.

You cut out a hole in the top of the pumpkin. Then you scoop out the inside. Next, you cut out eyes, a nose, and mouth. Finally, you put a candle inside the pumpkin, light it, and place the Jack-o-lantern outside of your house.

This video explains how to do it.

A Jack-o-lantern keeps evil spirits away on the night of Halloween.

Children walk through their neighborhoods and knock on doors asking for candy.

This is what children say when they knock on the door to ask for candy.

At this time of year, people try to scare each other with scary stories of death.
Everything feels spooky!
There are stories of witches….
…haunted houses…
….and monsters!
