Use the word "skinny" to describe people or things that are thin. To be skinny is the opposite of fat.

• He’s got skinny legs.
• Skinny people can fit into tight-fitting clothing.
• If you are skinny, you might not be eating enough.
• The doctor told Vanessa she needed to put on more weight because she was becoming too skinny.
• Fashion models are notoriously skinny.
• Skinny arms don’t look good on a man.
• A person who is "all skin and bones" is too skinny. ("All skin and bones" is an expression.)

This word is also used to describe things:

• Skinny jeans are popular among young people.
• Skinny ties were popular with men in the 1980s.
• The opening to the cave is too skinny for most people to get through.
• We have a tree in our front yard that’s tall and skinny.
• That house looks long and skinny.
