We like to play together.

vocabulary

bundle up: put on warm clothes

heavy coats: winter coats

mittens: covering for the hands when it’s cold

snow fort: a small protective area made of snow.

We like to play together. We’re all friends, and we do many different things with each other, especially when there is snow on the ground.

In the winter we like to go outside and have snowball fights. Or, we like to build snowmen and snow forts. We can also go sledding. Sometimes we go skating.

Before we go outside, our parents tell us to bundle up. It’s cold, and we need to keep warm. We put on our hats, our mittens, our boots, and our heavy coats before we go out in the snow. It’s important that we keep ourselves warm in the cold weather.

When we are finished playing outside, we go inside. We take off our coats, mittens, boots, and hats. What can we do next? There are many things we can do to keep ourselves busy inside, but we think it’s more fun to be outside playing in the snow.
