To trick someone is to make another person believe something is true when it isn’t. It’s similar to the word "fool." These sentences show how "trick" could be used as a verb:

• Nelly tricked her boss into believing she was a good cashier.
• The thief was tricked by the police and they quickly captured him.
• Hey, you tricked me! You told me it was raining outside, but it’s sunny.
