To "brag" is to speak highly of oneself and one’s accomplishments or to talk about people who are close to you, such as a family member. It’s generally considered to be in poor taste to brag, but people naturally do it.
Jennifer bragged about how great her cooking was.
Steven never stops bragging about how much money he makes.
Donald Trump like to brag about his accomplishments.
Tarik is always bragging about how good a soccer player he is.
Donna brags about her son, the doctor, whenever she gets a chance.
Our neighbors like to brag about their dog and how smart he is. We brag about our dog, too.
Sometimes I brag about my kids. Most fathers do.
Stop bragging! It’s not polite to brag all the time.
