echo

An echo occurs when sound reflects or bounces off of a surface and returns to the speaker. In this sound recording, you can hear an echo. My voice is echoing.

  • A good place to hear an echo is in a large, empty room.
  • Echoes are also commonly heard in large stadiums that use a public address system (a microphone and loud speakers).
  • Echo!
  • Do you hear an echo?
  • Is there an echo in here?
