Normally, the word of the day section of the website is for ordinary words that my students have trouble with. Today, however, I’ll show you how to use a relatively new slang word for jewelry and expensive accessories. It’s good to learn about slang words because you hear them used in movies and in popular music.
Nice grill! (grill: flashy dental work on the front teeth)
Bling can take the form of chains, big crosses, earrings, belts, rings, sunglasses, wristwatches–anything that is metal, flashy and attracts attention can be considered bling.
Note: Be careful when using slang in conversation. If it sounds unnatural or phony, people might laugh upon hearing you use it.
