schedule
A person uses a schedule in order to know when something is planned for the future. A schedule is followed or it’s created. Time for an event, an appointment, or a regular, on-going activity might be put on a calendar, or a person simply remembers where and when to go somewhere. Here it is as a verb:

One interesting note: The word "schedule" is a good example of a difference between British and American pronunciation of some words. The British pronunciation of this word is "schedule" (shedule) with an "sh" sound-not an "sk" sound. Isn’t that interesting?
