This word is a noun used to describe a situation in which a person in a high position or in a position of responsibility does something that is unethical. We hear about scandals through newspaper reports or TV news programs every day. October 27, 2015 The word of the day is "other." A student asked me about this word just yesterday. The word of the day is "thief." I’ve had some problems lately with people stealing the content from my website and using it on their own websites, so this choice seems appropriate for today. October 14, 2015 Sometimes the most important words to learn in English are the little ones. Today’s word of the day is "old." Yes, you know what it means, but pay close attention to how it’s used. The word "old" is an adjective. The Red Level lesson for today explains what adjectives are. October 13, 2015 The word of the day is "naughty." October 12, 2015 Today’s Blue Level lesson is on forming the past tense. The key to doing it the right way is to understand the difference between the simple form of the verb and the past tense form.
