Americans drink a lot of coffee. They drink it in the morning, in the afternoon, and some even drink it at night.

Every city, town, and neighborhood has a place where you can go to get coffee. Starbucks, Dunn Brothers, and Caribou are among the most popular coffee shops. Some fast food places like McDonalds or Burger King have it available too. There are also a lot of mom and pop coffee shops. These are small coffee shops that are owned by the people who work there.

Coffee drinkers are very particular about how their coffee tastes, so they add things to it. Some people like cream, some people like milk, and some people put sugar into their coffee. People who take it black don’t put in anything.

I always drink coffee in the morning. Soon after I wake up, I head to the kitchen and go straight to the coffee maker. I always put in a little half and half. Two or three cups is all I need. If I don’t have at least one cup of coffee in the morning, I get a headache later in the day. For me, coffee is an essential part of my morning.
